"St. Joseph Hospital’s Board of Trustees and Capital Campaign Committee members were elated with the turn out celebrating the unveiling of the new patient tower," said CEO Joe Mark. "It was a celebration highlighting the many advantages the tower project has brought and will bring to everyone in Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity counties-access to outstanding specialty care and the preservation of 1300 good paying jobs for the north coast region," Mark added.

Gene Lucas, President of the McLean Foundation, also presented a $500,000 check to Mark to go towards the new Tower. "We want to acknowledge the McLean Foundation for its payment of $500,000 toward its $2 million pledge that serves as a lead gift "spur" toward reaching our Phase I goal of $12.5 million toward the down payment on the new tower," said Mark.
