Over 100 children in Humboldt County started school this fall with new backpacks filled with school supplies thanks to donations from St. Joseph Hospital and Redwood Memorial Hospital staff, volunteers and physicians. Every year the hospitals hold a backpack drive and the hospital community donates bags and school supplies for local children. This year hospital staff donated a total of 101 backpacks and several bags of school supplies.
