The 27th Annual Benefit Ball Was A Great Success!
Every year, the much-anticipated gala brings together hospital staff, volunteers, physicians and many community residents for a night of dinner, dancing and auction bidding – and this year was no exception. More than 300 western-attired guests attended the “Rhinestone Cowboy” themed event, and danced to live music played by the Delta Nationals.
This year’s event brought in nearly $130,000 from ticket sales, raffles, donations, live and silent auction proceeds and a generous $25,000 donation from the McLean Foundation. This year’s Benefit Ball proceeds will go toward Redwood Memorial Hospital’s new 32-slice CT scanner that is scheduled to arrive sometime next year.
“The Benefit Ball is a wonderful opportunity for the community to get together to support Redwood Memorial Hospital,” said event chairwoman Gwynna Morris, who has been chairwoman of the event since its inception. “The new CT scanner is an important advancement for the hospital’s diagnostic imaging services.”
Over the years, Benefit Ball proceeds have been used to purchase new medical equipment for the hospital, including a Fetal Monitoring System, 4-D Ultrasound, Digital Mobile Imaging System and operating room video equipment.
Thanks to all who helped support Redwood Memorial Hospital at the Benefit Ball!
